I have tried everything the FAQ page has on why my bot isn't connecting, but it still wont connect. I have both the stream account, and the bot account set up and verified, but cant figure it out. I'm using port 80, and the irc.twitch.tv server. I've also tried the 443 port. Any help?
Thanks,
Lucky.

Also, here's a link to the screenshot because i can't seem to get the attachment feature to work..

Okay, looks like you are putting everything in the correct place.
I think I see the problem, the bot account is not a twitch account? Did you make a twitch account for your bot? If not, you need to do that.
-
Yes, It was an account about 10 minutes ago...I disabled it to try to re make it to see if that helped, but now when I go to create the RaeBot account on twitch it says the name has already been taken. May need to create a new bot, but then I'd need a DeepBot admin to give me permission to use a different bot name.

You can actually change the bot name yourself: http://deepbot.deep.sg/forums/index.php?topic=3206.0

Running the bot as admin? Right click the program>run as admin
Have you tried disconnecting deepbot.tv from twith? Go to twitch on both accounts>Settings>connections> Remove deepbot.tv and test.deepbot.tv (I believe those are the names.)
-
Just disabled both of those on both accounts. Tried connecting, same thing. I re authorized both accounts and tried, still no luck. :-\ Also, ran deepbot as admin.

Do you have the latest .NET Framework 4.5.2? https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=42642
Have you repaired/installed C++ Redis? Install/Repair the x86 and x64 versions of redist from here : http://www.microsoft.com/en-sg/download/details.aspx?id=30679

Anyone else have troubles connecting? The connect button says "Connecting", and it never connects. I have updated all programs, but just wont connect! Really don't know what to do! :'(
-
Maybe you have a virus protector, stopping deepbot from connecting?
-
I can see many successful connections. Are you sure that you are having a problem?

I have turned off all protection and tried connecting, same result.

RepentGamingTV also said that I was connecting fine, but on my screen it just stays saying "connecting", which means I can't even click on the other tabs. The only tabs I can access when it says this are "Config", "Forums", and "User list". And since it won't connect, when I go onto user list, it shows just a blank white space.
-
So DeepBot staff see my bot connecting successfully, but on my screen it shows the "connecting..." and I cannot access any of the tabs you can use when connected. I've uninstalled and re installed deepbot a couple times now, and I don't know what else to do. I had DeepBot in May 2014, and it worked fine. Now that I want to get back into streaming, the bot just wont connect for me!

You probably tried all of these, but I am gonna try and do it all in one post.
- Running the Bot as admin?
- Tried Different Ports/Server on the Bot Login on the Config Tab?
- Install/Repair .NET Framework 4.5.2: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=42642
- Install/Repair C++ Redis (x86 and x64) : http://www.microsoft.com/en-sg/download/details.aspx?id=30679
- No Virus Scanner Blocking the program?
- Maybe on windows firewall, you blocked access for deepbot.
- You are updated on all the latest updates for windows?
Do you have anything in the errorlogs? (C:\Deepbot folder>Logs>Errorlog.txt)
What windows are you on?

Running bot as admin.
Tried every port and server.
Installed .NET Framework.
Installed C++ Redis.
Turned off Norton when trying to connect.
Turned off windows firewall when connecting.
No errors.
I am running Windows 8.1.
Edit: I could record a video of what happens when I press connect, if that would help.
-
You could. But the problem is you hit connect, it says connecting, and doesn't do anything, right?
Can you go to other tabs? Or is it frozen?
Try this:
- Right click deepbot>Go to Properties>Compatibility>Run this program in compatibility mode for Widows 8.1?
- Check the General Tab>Uncheck Read-Only (If it is checked.)
(I don't know much about windows 8.)
I am running out of ideas/possible solutions. Never had this problem with a user, usually one of those things in the list I posted, work. :/

I believe the most likely case is that your computer may be infected with a HTTPS proxy (Fiddler Root) which is preventing a secure connection to the deepbot servers.
To test this, simply open the API website in a browser ( https://api.deepbot.tv/ ) and check the SSL certificate (http://puu.sh/gcb5a/a66e09c770.png).
If it says fiddler root or *do not trust* then your computer is infected with a HTTPS proxy which is intercepting secure web traffic.

Experts, I entered the API into a browser, and its response was a picture that said "Identity Verified" and showed the api.deepbot.tv url. Nothing said "Do not trust" or no warnings/errors showed up.

Just tried this compatibility for windows 8, same thing happens.
I have no idea why this isn't working.
I purchased this bot in May, 2014, and it worked on the same computer without a single problem. I just recently purchased it, and the program opens completely fine, but when I click "connect" it just keeps saying "connecting...".
I haven't done anything different to my computer since last year, I quit using it and haven't turned it on since around December, 2014. I just recently started streaming again, and I loved this bot when I had it last, so came back to re apply for the beta.
I will record a very short video of what happens when I click connect.

Hey, I'm experiencing the exact same issues. It started about 2 hours ago and I have been running deepbot for months without issue until just now. Edit: I rebooted my computer and it fixed the problem so if you haven't tried rebooting yet, give it a try.

Have you tried the list of solutions RepentGamingTV has stated above?
Last year my DeepBot ran completely without error. My connecting problem just randomly started out of no where this past week or so.
-
The best thing to do would be to get on Teamviewer so that we can debug the issue further.

Yes, but my Bot hasn't been able to connect for more than a week now. All these other people's problems have just started today, I think my reason for not connecting may be different.

Alright, and is there any way we could Skype share screen or something so you can see if everything on my computer seems fine? I haven't done anything different since I quit playing computer games in around December 2014. I'd just like to know If i have a real bug or if I just made a dumb mistake.
Thanks

Do you still need help?

Twitch is currently having some problems with their servers. There is nothing that we can do but wait for them to resolve it. I would recommend using the port "80", as it seems the problem is on a server using the port "443".

I'm always on 80

Some of twitch servers are offline. To help with the connection issues, please try updating to the latest DeepBot version.

I have factory reset my computer, and some how deepbot still isn't connecting. I don't know how this is even possible..

Are you using the latest version of DeepBot? Twitch disabled their old version of their chat system, and now DeepBot won't work until you update to the latest version.
-
Updated completely...still just says "connecting..."

I know this thread is a couple weeks old but I just started having this issue recently a day or two ago. I was on port 80 and so far switching to this port has fixed it. Thank you so much!
