Title: Timed Commands
Post by: Grumbul on August 15, 2015, 05:12:06 PM
Can someone shed a little light on timed commands for me please?

There are 2 settings - 'message every' and 'min chat lines'

Are these independent of one another?

For example does a random timed message show up whenever the first criteria is met (e.g. after 5 minutes, or after 30 chat lines - assuming that is the setting) or does it work in some other way?

The reason I ask is sometimes DeepBot basically spams every single timed message immediately after one another.

Basically this is how it works, if x lines have passed with x time has passed, send message. But also if x lines have passed it will say a message (without x time).

Lets say you have the Message Every 5 minutes, and chat lines set to 5.
There needs to be more then 5 chat lines to be sent in order for the bot to say one message.
If someone only types one message in the 5 minutes, no message will be said unless the view(s) say more then 5 lines then the message will be played.
So if someone said one message ("hi") and the 5 minutes where up, the bot won't said the message unless 5 lines where said.
The time will stay at 00:00:00 if no one have typed a message even if the time is up then when the 5 chat line are up, the bot will say the message and the time will restart.
Does that clear it up? :)
