Title: Need a step by step 5 year old explanation for xfering data

I have not updated deepbot for over a month because whenever I do it wipes ALL of my data - Commands, currency, ranks - everything. Is this supposed to happen? Is there any way to get my bot updated so I can keep up without losing my viewers hard earned stuff?

I really need a 5 year old's step by step explanation please.

To manually backup your data:

1) Copy the below three files to some safe location:

• users.bin - this contains all your users hours, ranks and points
• usersconfig.bin - this contains all your bot settings and configs
• chanmsgconfig.bin - this contains all your channel commands

2) Update the bot
3) If these three files are overwritten (should not happen with updates), then simply close the bot and copy them back from the safe location (step 1) and start the bot back up again.
