Title: After Effects animations for follows, subs or donations?

Is it possible to use After Effects to create an animated popup for followers, subscribers or donations? If so, can you point me to the tutorials? I have seen what looks like Flash animations that do it on some streams, but have been unable to locate any information on how to create and set them up. I'm not sure how the After Effects animation would pull in the persons name and display it inside the animation. Thanks!

After Effects can export movie files only, but what you can do is drag that movie file into Photoshop and export it as a gif from there. As for the dynamic text (the follower's user name), That would have to be done in something like a Javascript animation.

Could just have follower notifications enable sources on obs via command when someone follows. That way you don't have to worry about a .gif, you add the movie as a source.
