Does timed messages support html or markdown? I want to make a link to a custom tweet that people can click in chat. Is this possible at all?

Twitch chat interface is text only. So no markups are supported.

I have been in Bwana chatroom before and Ackbot sent a message with a link. I wonder how he did it?

most likely just type the link as a normal url. The twitch chat detects it and parses it as a clickable URL
