Title: New to all of this, really need assistance
Post by: Boneyards on November 21, 2017, 01:57:21 AM
Hello, I would first like to apologize if this is a stupid question, or, if it has been asked a million times (because I'm sure it has). But as I'm going to pay for my beta license, it asks for my Twitch Username and my BOT username. Should the BOT username be the same as my Twitch username, due to the fact that its going to be a BOT in THAT channel? Or do I create a new Twitch account using the name of what I want the BOT to be called and then mod the username for that account in my main channel?

(Again, huge apologies if this question is stupid or has been asked before. But, the FAQ's didn't seem to have the answer and before spending the money, I would like to know EXACTLY what I'm doing.) Thank you, for your help.

You can do either. We usually recommend you make a twitch account with the bot name you want and use that.

Okay. And then from there, using the account that I am streaming from, mod the BOT channel that I have just created using /mod "TheBoneyBOT" in the chat, correct?

Correct.
