Feature Requests / Spend points to rank up?

I would love there to be a feature that people can spend points to rank up as an addition to the "hours watched" and "amount of points" options in ranks.

For example you pay 1000 points to rank up from 1 to 2.
Then you have to pay 2000 to rank up from 2 to 3.
