Bug Reports / Serious issue with CLR Browser and javascript
« on: June 11, 2014, 03:51:34 AM »
3rd time in 3 weeks have had script kiddies showing up and exploiting the fact I am using Deepbot + CLR Browser. I can no longer use chat from DB (Which I loved) and now I cannot use on in-obs notifications through CLR. Are there any other solutions that do not use javascript? I contacted twitch about the creeps crashing my stream with a posted js link (it doesnt matter if you block links in nightbot/twitch whatever. The link still shows and then one of those remove it (damage done)). Twitch said to contact the dev of CLR Browser or disable javascript. I did disable javascript in CLR but that rendered deepbot unuseable with regard to OBS and integration.

Thanks

Feature Requests / Donated item/game giveaway by community
« on: May 13, 2014, 04:30:34 PM »
On two of the larger streamers I watch they have a feature where the community gives away an item by themselves. With your system I propose it be either mods lv 1+2 and maybe VIP Silver or higher?

How it works is:
Member X says I have Call of Duty key to give away.
He types in !giveawaygame (or something) | Call of Duty 4 | KEY # HERE | TIME for giveaway| Message

So what happens then is there is an alert that pops up on the stream with the item given away by whom and time till drawing.
People type in !enter

It then picks the winner and sends them a twitch note with the key code in it.

Why?

Well larger communities have many members that have access to either games/codes or are just wealthy. This system takes the onus off of the streamer to provide the key to the winner and if it doesnt work then its on the donator and not the streamer. It also builds a stronger community because regular people can get in on the fun of giving stuff away. It also frees the streamer up from dealing with giving gifts away. Personally I get 2-3 game keys a day from viewers and while I love it, in the past the keys have not always worked. With this system I would just direct the winner to contact the donator directly. It is also a nice coin sink to keep the coffers drained and increases the value of the coin.

Help/Support / Some suggestions and issues - Twitch Partner
« on: May 11, 2014, 10:04:26 PM »
Hello! I am waiting for the database conversion from ModBOT and have been fiddling around with DeepBot a bit to try out some of the functionality. I have some suggestions that may or may not be a priority but as a twitch partner make it more appealing to use your bot.

1. I do not find anywhere where Subscribers are automatically set as VIP Gold (or any level) where this is a problem is for all of my previous subs. New subs I can set to be VIP Gold but old subs I have to manually add them in the list as gold and give them a date somewhere out in the distant future. How will you handle the legacy system and can you enable automatically giving VIP Gold to subs?
   a. It might be significantly easier to have another level on the multipliers list called Subscribers and then we could set it to whatever we want to give them.

2. Bankheist is a cool idea but I only play fantasy games (well mostly) and being able to name it Village Raid or something else would be better for my channel. Also changing the bank name (its currently set to DeepBot) would be great.

3.  Not a big one but you have no graphical indication where you can grab the screen to move it. I spent some time today trying to move the window only to find you must be over deepbot-twitch streamer assistant to move it. Might want to indicate somewhere that you can only move the window there.

Ill add more as I use it. Thanks!

Help/Support / Re: Transferring currency from ModBot to Deepbot.
« on: May 11, 2014, 09:26:13 PM »
I just sent you my ModBOT database as well. Thanks for converting!

1. Where did you hear about DeepBot from? One of my followers
2. Your stream name? Geekdomo
3. Twitch bot account name? Domo_BOT
4. Your streaming schedule? [Days/Approximate time]M-F 0800-1400, Saturday random 4+ hours Sunday random 4+ hours All times EST (GMT-5)
5. Is your stream partnered with Twitch? YES
6. Average number of users on your channel? 200+
7. Do you need to migrate an existing points system over to DeepBot? If yes, please specify which Bot you are currently using. Yes and here is the tricky part. I had a developer modify MODBOT to send a call to an external database on a website so people that earn points in the stream are able to purchase items on our website: http://www.geekdomo.com (click the golden domocoin on the right). I would like to see if we could add this feature to yours. Its just a way to sync the databases. If not I would still like to try your bot out.
