Help/Support / Question with custom commands.

I have a group of commands (SFX) that my viewers can use for points, it plays a sound and displays a gif on stream. My problem is that they're able to overlap one another. Is there anyway I can set a cooldown based on the command group? or possibly write to a text file with a value of either 1 or 0 and check to see if that value is is true or false before running another command? I tried disabling the commands on use, and re-enabling when finished.... but this does not happen instantly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
