Help/Support / Songs being skipped when multiple people connect to URL
« on: April 06, 2016, 12:48:50 AM »
Hi all. So, we are a 4 person stream who all need to connect to the bot for music requests. The issue is, when someone connects to the bot via IP there is a good chance songs will start to skip. Sometimes it's one song, but sometimes it can be 2-3 that get skipped at once and we have to go back (if I'm there since the bot is on my PC. If I'm not, nothing can be done). Is this a known issue, and can something be done about it?

Awesome! It's looking much better in terms of a layout. Looking forward to when it launches (whenever that may be)! Feel free to pass along the song request idea. We use it for 4 streamers on the same stream, but right now the random song skip and not auto playing the next song has been a big hindrance. I have to babysit the bot sometimes. Otherwise I do love it.

Yes, the new site. And I'd love to see what it may look like and come with.

Additionally, I was just curious if there was areas for accounts in general. Web based portals to sync quotes, points, etc with.

Okay. Appreciate all the help you've given me, Repent!

Is there any information about the deep bot website I've been catching snippets of? I think a fully fleshed out browser page with a player and songlist would be neat (also obscuring the IP address - Tied to the deepbot account maybe?).

Help/Support / Music Player Doesn't Restart When New Song Requested
« on: September 29, 2015, 10:00:03 PM »
Hi everyone! I've had this issue happen a few times recently. The music player will have finished every song on the playlist. A new song will be requested, but the player won't move onto the new song. The YT video box has a play icon in the middle, and I have to physically click to the next song. It's a pain when using the in browser player for multiple PC's/Streamers. Anyone else have this issue? Thanks so much!

Hm. Interesting theory. Only issue is it's happening with using two different PC's watching. Any ideas on how to solve it? I don't think it's on my end, as my net is usually solid and one of the PC's is on the same network.

I'm not sure what the difference is between us, then (appreciate you testing it!). It was happening again last night. It didn't do it consistently in the beginning, but by the end it was almost auto skipping a song each time a new song came on. Only people connected was me and my friend/roommate (from same network). My PC was restarted earlier as well, so fresh start. I have Twitch VODs, but I don't know what that would do for us except show the song requests.

Does the browser player have any affect on the bot player i.e. send anything back to the bot? It only occurs when someone else is watching via browser player.

The page itself isn't being refreshed. It's being left open until the next song plays. It's also going from one song to the next one in queue, no gaps in terms of hitting the end of a playlist.

Hi there,

So I recently got Deep Bot to work using a browser. We are a 4 person streaming channel, and have a need to be able to all hear the music at the same time (or use Deep Bot while not on the host PC). The issue we're having is that a song will play, and when the next song comes up, it will skip it and move on to the next one. This happened last night with me using the bot, and Flawliss using the browser player. They can be requested by the same person, so there's no weight to the request being by say a moderator. I have had Deep Bot skip 2 songs in a row as well, which we had 3 people listening to the player. Any ideas? Thanks so much!

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, no one is touching the internal or external player. It will just randomly skip 1 or 2 songs.

Same user requested the songs that got skipped.

So, new issue! Heh. Deep bot is now and then randomly going to the next song halfway through a song. Also, Deep Bot is also skipping songs on it's own. For example, just now after it finished the last song, it skipped two songs and went to the song after that. I have 2 people listening to the music outside of Deep Bot if that means anything, but it shouldn't matter as it's only sending the music out and not affected by outside sources (I would assume). It didn't skip the song afterwards, however. Any ideas on the issue?

I opened port 3337 in Windows Firewall. That seemed to fix it! Thanks so much for your help!

Yeah, the issue is both the internal and external IPs won't show any video. I gave the IP to my friend who lives with me, and both showed no stream. It works if *I* watch it in browser on the internal IP, but not the external IP. Also, I wanted to be able to share it with 2 other people who are not on the same network, so getting it to work with my public IP is needed. Sorry about being a pest!
