Help/Support / Bot not displaying chat or playing music
« on: December 26, 2017, 12:12:57 AM »
Hey all.
I've not used the bot for either chat or music for a while, so I don't know when this started but I went to do some XMass stuff and found it wasn't playing my playlist at all.
It plays the 10 seconds of silcence, but won't move on to any song in the playlist.

The chat is totally blank both in the chat tab and the streamer chat tab.

all help gratefully accepted.

Feature Requests / Re: Steam game look-up command

Is this something we're likely to see get added?
I've seen it on one other bot and its pretty damned useful in that bot.

Feature Requests / Steam game look-up command

Another bot had a command I used to find very useful:
 !steam
You'd use it to return the price and steam store page for a game; eg.
Nitebytes: !steam burnout paradise
icarusai: Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box (9.99 GBP) http://store.steampowered.com/app/24740/

I've had a search around the custom stuff and feature requests and couldn't see it, so I hope I'm not duplicating someone else's request.

AH! That would explain it. Thank you! <3

Hi all,
I run deepbot as an administrator
I am trying to reconnect it to my gamewisp account. I've followed the steps in the faq. several times.
Each time, I complete the process, and the button in Master Settings changes from Connect to Disconnect, so I save. I go to Gamewisp notifictaion to sync and configure there, and after a few seconds it fails because I'm not connected to gamewisp.
So I go back to the master settings, and sure enough, the button says connect again.

How do I get the integtration / connection to stick?

Cheers RepentGamingTV, is there way to switch between modes or does the incremental version simply not exist for deepbot?

Help/Support / Ticket Raffle borked?
« on: February 28, 2017, 06:16:58 AM »
So I did a celebration raffle last Saturday. gave out some steam keys.
Only Deepbot didn't behave as I expected. When people bought tickets, it overwrote their last purchase with the new one rather than (as every other bot does) increment it. Did my bot break or is that as expected?
It caught me and my viewers off guard and left a sour taste all-round.

Hmm, OK, so my example wouldn't work in any case because the trigger word was in the middle of the sentence?

Hi, If a feature like this exists and I've missed it, please shoot me down and point me at it - I've looked and can't find anything.

At the moment I have another bot I use that responds when certain words appear in a sentence in chat;
eg.
Tom: What time is James joining the game?
bot: Don't trust James, he's a bot.

The trigger word being 'James'. It's not a command, nor is it at the start of the line. Is there way to make deepbot do this?
If not, can I request it as a future feature?

Good to know it's in discussion. Thanks for the response.

Feature Requests / Any news on support for the Beam.pro platform?
« on: January 24, 2017, 04:54:52 PM »
Deepbot is far and away the best stream bot I've used, so much so that I was happy to join the VIP ranks with a monthly payment.

Recently I've started dual streaming across Twitch and Beam (the community on Beam seems to have far less toxic elements than Twitch), but the only bot I've found that covers both pales in comparison to Deepbot, it lacks so many of the features I've come to rely on from Deepbot and have built into my Gamewisp sub schemes.

Please tell me there's development on the roadmap to include work on Beam or any other platform?

Thank you.

Bingo that was it. Redownloaded and reimported the json - all works fine.
Many thanks.
(now to sit tight and wait for the auto-host notification to come to a live/stable release :) )

Thanks again.

Yes, I created the folder and put the limit text file in there. The only variance I made was in the command entry in the Master Settings, I had other words and variables after the !hostreward @numviewers@ I've taken all that out and left it with just the line in your instructions, but haven't had any hosts since so can't properly test it.

As for the autohost, Thanks for the tips, but knowing it's in development, I can wait til it's in the stable release.

Help/Support / Need help configuring hostreward command
« on: January 05, 2017, 04:01:52 PM »
Hi all, I think I need some help setting up the host reward thing - I seem to have two issues with running it.
http://wiki.deepbot.tv/user_custom_commands#host_reward

Firstly:
I've followed the instructions, but when someone hosts me, the in-chat response says "the streamer has not set this command up properly" or something very similar to that. It seems to give the reward, but I don't know why I'm seeing this message. Any clues anyone?

Secondly it doesn't seem to work for twitch's autohosts (for that matter deepbot doesn't play my host sound when I get an autohost). Anyone got a fix for that?

Many thanks all.
