Streamer Introductions / Twitch Newbie

hello everyone

as the same as everyone else here i am a twitch newbie.

am currently streaming using just my xbox 1 via my elgato capture card and uploading through my general laptop.
 
this isn't a gripe or moan by a long way but id like some advice if possible. i am currently just past 100 followers but i don't know if anyone else has a similar dilemma, I'm finding it hard to keep viewers in the stream and also getting them to return.  although I'm getting follows what id really like it people to return and stay longer. 

I'm trying to be as interactive with people as much as i can and let people join in games get involved in chat and twitter etc  but sometimes i can stream several hours and have no viewers or follows.

if anyone has any opinions/ideas or suggestion please don't hesitate to reply as id like to know what other streamers do to combat this.
