Hi All - Over the last year, we have noted that it is a lot more effective for us and users to engage over Discord than on these Forums.
Effective 21st Sep 2019, we will be moving the forums to read-only mode and all future engagement will continue on our discord servers at https://discord.deepbot.tv

Thanks,

Changing Stream Name:
If you have made use of the Twitch name change service you can perform a name change yourself without having to create a topic. To do so go to the following link and put your new name in: http://deepbot.tv/twitchnamechange

If you only want to change your bot name, you can do so by going to account page on the website. A guide of how to do this can be found here.

If you have created a new Twitch account or the name change page on the Deepbot website does not work you must make a thread here. Please use this format when doing so:

Code: [Select]
Current Stream Name:
Current Bot Name:

New Stream Name:
New Bot Name:

*Note: Name changes in this manner can take up to 72 hours, but they usually take 24 hours or less.

*Note: Deepbot support can do name changes if you used the free twitch name change feature but it is possible for you to do this yourself. If you made a new account, then you will have to wait for the developer to get to it.

Announcements / Developer on Break : Delayed responses expected.
« on: March 13, 2016, 01:18:51 AM »
Hi All

I will be leaving for a trip in a few hours, and will be away from 28th Nov 16 - 2nd Nov 16.
During this time, I would have very limited access to the DeepBot services, as such direct support/fixes would not be possible.

If issues arise, I request that you be patient. The helpful Advisor's will try their best to help you.

If queries are rather technical or require editing user profiles, then I will address them when I return.

Thanks for your support and understanding.

Hi All - Effective 1st July, twitch has disabled port 80 for IRC chat servers, as these servers now only accept websocket connections ( http://blog.twitch.tv/2015/06/html5-chat-is-live/ )

Therefore, DeepBot wont be able to connect on port 80. So please switch the port to 443 or 6667 to continue using DeepBot.

Hi All - Looks like we have grown larger than what our current servers can take, so we will need to move to a new data center.
What this means is that for a few hours, DeepBot services may be down or may not operate as expected.

The forums will be put in read-only mode while this process happens, and you may not be able to login to DeepBot during this time depending on which region you stay in. We will try and keep this as fast as possible, and should you need anything while the move is in progress, you can reach out to us on Twitter @DeepbotSupport

Thanks again for your support.

Good day Folks!

Recently a number of streamers have asked for some time to chat about DeepBot. To facilitate this, we would like to host a live Q&A (question and answer) session where you may ask me anything that you would like! Team Pro Pixel, a fellow streamer using DeepBot has kindly offered to host this session. This will be done at:

Saturday, the 21st of June 2014,
14:00 GMT [10:00 AM EST, 3:00 PM UK, Midnight Sydney]

At Team Pro Pixel's channels, www.twitch.tv/teampropixel

In this Q&A Arctomian of Team Pro Pixel will be hosting the Q&A asking your questions live! Feel free to list down your questions below, and we will select the top 30 for this session. Alternatively, you can drop by the stream and ask them live. Anything goes, so feel free to ask about technical features, future updates, about me, or even rocket science (I may not be able to answer these correctly!)

After we finish the pre-selected questions posted here, we will open the floor for live questions in the channel as well as questions being asked as a response to an answer.

Team Pro Pixel will also be giving away 1 DeepBot Invite (Comes with 30 Days VIP Membership) to the best question asked! You can invite a stream currently not in the DeepBot Beta, or choose to use the 30 Day VIP for your own stream!

Once the Q&A is done, the whole session will be uploaded on Team Pro Pixel's Youtube channel together with a new tutorial of Deepbot!

Feature Requests / New Donation Alert Utility
« on: November 10, 2013, 01:13:47 AM »
Hi Guys - I am about to release the donation alert utility. As of now, this is a standalone application that alerts you of donations onstream.

A short demo can be seen here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgwPtKc-dvg or http://www.twitch.tv/expertsonline/c/3216578

Would appreciate feedback and interest for testing.

*Note : Due to high server resources required to validate all transactions with PayPal and store them on the servers, this utility will currently only available to streamers who have donated in the last 30 days.

Guides, Tutorials & Demo Videos / Betting explained
« on: October 15, 2013, 12:41:19 PM »
Hi Guys

A lot of people are asking about the mechanics of the betting system, so I will go into a bit more detail here.

Before I start I would like to say that I have done a lot of research on real world betting mechanisms before creating this. The biggest difference between a perfect real world bookie and this system is that the bet odds for viewers change even after they place the bet. This is not fair to the betters but is the only way to perfectly square the bets between all the options.
Some key points:
  • The main objective of the betting system in DeepBot is to keep adjusting payout odds based on bets coming in. So the payout will reflect how loaded a certain option is.
  • At no point in time would an option payout more points that entered in the betting pool (i.e. the house does not issue new points).
  • The odds change real time for all bets (future and past).
  • A user can remove his bet by typing !bets 0 <option> for the same option they originally entered for.
  • If a user enters a bet on a different option, it is recorded as a new bet on that option (old bet is still vaild). Yes - this supports multi-betting per user.

The reason for allowing multi-betting is that any Bookie/Gambling agency that can very easily square the bets between the options (we can do this perfectly) loves gambling chasers who chase the win with multiple bets. This is because the odds are always fair and with house cuts, the house gets a cut on every bet.

The table below shows the payoff on double betting 1,000 points in a two option betting pool.

Please ask all betting related questions here and I will revert with answers.

Thanks and enjoy DeepBot.

Cheers,
Experts
