"!song" freezes bot app for 10+ seconds with iTunes
« on: May 28, 2014, 06:02:58 AM »
When I have iTunes off and I type !song, it doesn't do anything. Hooray!

When I have iTunes on and I type !song, it makes iTunes the active window (assuming it's hooking the app to grab the song information) but freezes the DeepBot app for over 10 seconds before restoring itself. It still doesn't give me the song title in chat either. Not a big deal but it's such a nice feature not to have. :P

Yeah I am currently experiencing the same issue. I was wondering if anyone knows how to get the !song function to work with iTunes?

I have also tried this (Typing !song command [Nothing], Opening iTunes and playing song [Gives correct song title], Stopping song [Gives Song Title] and closing iTunes [!song again produces nothing]). Each of these actions did not cause a freeze. This also does not make iTunes the active window (Placing it in front of everything) but I do know it used to do this.

Are you using the latest version of Deepbot? (v.0.4.7.2) ?
