How to add chat to stream

I am really struggling with adding chat to the stream in obs. I was able to do it with nightdev and for some reason I struggle here. Can someone please point me in the right direction fordoing this? Thank you

window capture> select region and select the background color to make it transparent.

I am trying to use obs clr. It works with nightdev but I was hoping to get it all within deep or and obs.

Followed your guide emrerocky. Follower notification works, but chat does not. I get this when I load the link:
Server Connecting to DeepBot chat server
Server Chat configuration completed for stream: 1337ayegee

Then the text fade out, and the chat is gone. No chat messages make it through.

Fixed: Had to check external chat under the chat tab.
