I am changing the way points are given out in my channel to only active chatters.
I would like to exclude VIPs from this. To allow VIPs to just lurk and make the points, instead of having to chat like regular viewers.
This would help strengthen viewers to try to become VIPs IMO.
This would indeed give users more of an incentive to become VIPS. Paying (Or you manually making someone a VIP) for the privilege to not have to chat every so often. Considering they decided to tip you it is very unlikely that they would do a "Join-and-forget" action but for obvious reasons it could hurt chat in your stream. I see no harm in adding it as an option though.
