Donation not showing and no pop up

Bug: last donator text not showing and no pop up from only donation received so far.
Info: I started using your donator service and got a donation last night but no notification or text came up nor comes up now
How did you produce this bug or come across it?:  Not sure i did not miss an important step getting set up....

If you got a donation, your link is setup correctly, however follow this guide on adding IPN to paypal, and this should fix your problem: http://deepbot.deep.sg/forums/index.php?topic=3143.0

UTF-8 For Paypal

If you have the old Paypal website, refer to this for the UTF-8 Problem: https://simpletix.zendesk.com/entries/23288232-Enable-UTF-8-Languages-in-PayPal-

For the New Paypal Website, you can follow this guide:

If you have a Regular/Personal Paypal:

1. Login to Paypal, then go to summary
2. Click on Seller Preferences, Click on paypal button language encoding
3. Hit More Options
4. Go to second option and select "No, use:" and Select UTF-8 in the drop down box.
5. Congrats, you are done.

If you have a Business Paypal:

1. Login to Paypal, then go to my profile/settings
2. Click on My selling tools tab on left side, scroll to the bottom and look for "Paypal Button Language Encoding" and select it
3. Hit More Options
4. Go to second option and select "No, use:" and Select UTF-8 in the drop down box.
5. Congrats, you are done.

Paypal IPN

I don't know how to do it on the old website.

If you have a Personal/Regular Paypal:

1. Login to Paypal, then go to summary
2. Click on Seller Preferences, click on Update, next to Instant Payment Notifications
3. Select Turn on IPN, and for the URL put this: http://api.deepbot.tv/ipn/ipn.php?stream=YourStreamNameHere (Example: http://api.deepbot.tv/ipn/ipn.php?stream=repentgamingtv)
4. Select Receive IPN Messages, then hit save.
5. Congrats, you are done.

If you have a Business Paypal:

1. Login to Paypal, then go to my profile/settings

I accidentally changed the first section in the UTF-8 area
what do i set it back too? Windows something?


I cannot figure out how to add the IPN to paypal.. I have spent about 45 mins trying to add this.... the guide does not seem to be like the web page I am looking at! HELP!  I can put a little check in the smartphone box on the tabs but i cant figure out how to add the IPN..... HELP!

Windows-1292 or something I believe, you can leave it to UTF=8 shouldn't effect you much.

As for IPN, I take it you are on the old site. Take a look at this, and fill in with the link I linked in the IPN guide: https://developer.paypal.com/docs/classic/ipn/integration-guide/IPNSetup/

I can only see to add a mobile phone.. which i do not have... there is no way to enter an IPN that I can see......

OK, I called Paypal and they tried to talk me threw IPN setup, they started that personal accounts do not receive this service and I would have to upgrade to a Business account, I tried to upgrade but their system was experiencing problems so i was told to try later....

You should be able to on personal accounts, from what I heard. But ya, I had to too at the time. But some have told me they can do it on personal accounts.

used a different browser and got my business account set up for paypal and then the option was avail.... works now.. TY TY!
