caster command and quote numbers
« on: April 29, 2015, 03:02:05 PM »
I've got two seperate requests here of things I've enountered with deepbot where questions have arisen.

First: Caster Command
I was helping out a new user to Deepbot and they had a command in an old bot they used that would grab the title / game someone who hosted them was playing so they could do a shout out.
EX: Thank Shadami for the host, they were most recently collecting gold skulltulas in The legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Check them out at twitch.tv/shadami.

I'm not sure how this would work. Some kind of @target@ command is my best guess. And since i've seen interest for this type of command I figured I'd toss it your way.

Secondly: Quote numbers.
Sometimes quotes disappear. Or someone accidentaly deleted them. Or they need to be deleted because they were inappropriate or whatnot. Who knows. But than you just have an empty quote spot. It would be really cool if the next quote made would either replace the lowest quote slot that is empty. OR when we manually put in quotes, we have the option to put it as a certain number somehow.

I'm not a coder so dont' know how it would work. Again, just tossing a couple ideas your way. Appreciate your bot greatly and want to help where I can.

I'm thinking maybe @targetgame@ and @targettitle@ maybe for the custom commands to pull the title /game into the command.

As for the quote numbers. Is the only way to fill a quote that got accidentally deleted, to delete all above it and that re input them? It's all I've been able to figure out anyways. So just asking.
