Frame Drop/Video Lag
« on: November 06, 2014, 07:19:16 AM »
Hey party peeps.

Just figured out a problem I have been having for a while that I have been putting down to silly reasonings. However until the other night I had never checked or tested to see if the problem coincided with DeepBot.

When I load any of my FPS games like CSGO or COD:AW and DeepBot is running, my frames just plummit. I also get problems from time to time if I'm alt tab'd out of game checking emails etc, the web pages also seem to jerk when I try to scroll or open a new page or item in a new tab.

I'm about to start streaming. I'll get going, give it an hour and then I'll take a highlight and post it here so you can see. But I'll start my stream with DB on, play for a little and then turn DB off. Hopefully this will give you a view on what is going down :) Sorry I didn't have anything prepared when I made this post.

SPECS:
Mobo - Gigabyte 970A-D3P
Processor - AMD FX-6300 @ 3.50GHz
Memory - 16.00 GB
Video Card - AMD Radeon R9 270X
Monitor - ASUS - VN247
Monitor - LG - W1942T
Monitor - ACER - G195HQL
Headset - Astro A50
Keyboard - SteelSeries 7G
Mouse - Logitech G600
Cheers all.

Sorry. Wasn't sure if thread had been read

It's not in game, but clearly it doesn't need to be. I have been able to replicate the problem simply using only my steam client library list :P

Here are processes. Note CPU jumps between 15 and 18 (that I've noticed)

Cheers again if I can get any help. I love DB, Experts knows this :P. I'd hate to have to avoid using it <3

I have exactly the same issue - not sure why it causes it, but in lots of games, Deepbot seems to cause my FPS on OBS to drop to 5-15FPS.

Thanks for the reply Jordan :) Don't take this the wrong way, but I'm glad someone else can experience the same issues. I'm no longer alone! xD
Cheers all.

I've had the issue for months - it's why I've ended up resorting to having to run Deepbot on my netbook, rather than my gaming PC.

Interesting idea. Although I no longer have a 2nd pc. Maybe a viable option could be a Windows VPS/VPN? I'm just coming up with ideas here :)

Just wanted to say that I have not responded to this as it is very hard to debug this issue (not because I am not reading the forums). Across over 2k users now, a small percentage face this issue.
My best guess is that it may be linked to the CPU where it is not able to keep up with the multiple threads DeepBot creates for keeping all background processes running.

I am not able to reproduce this in any of my testing machines as well, making debugging even harder.

Cheers Experts. Hope all has been well.

All you need to do to replicate it is get onto a First Person Shooter :D. Or a new one I've found is trying to scroll up and down on my gmail/hotmail/facebook on FIREFOX (haven't had the issue with chrome).

Any other way I can recreate my computer lerping I'll get on it. But the steam list is all I've really capped so far :)
Cheers all.

Bugger.. Thought I had updated this thread last night...

I seemed to have "solved" the problem I'm having by opening task manager and setting the affinity to only the LAST CORE on the list for deepbbot.

I have my windows options set to ALWAYS use all cores, I have a feeling this is what caused the problem. It is still set to "Use All Cores" but changing the affinity that uses DeebBot is the problem solver that works for me.

So each time I load DeepBot I need to Ctrl+Alt+Del, go to Task Manager > Processes > DeepBot.exe > Right Click > Set Affinity.. > Unselect ALL CORES > Select CORE 6 > Hit OK :D

Now I just need to figure how to load DeepBot on my last core to avoid having to taskmanager it each time I open the program :P
Cheers all.

May as well bring this straight to this same thread making easier on explanations. Simply put. Refer back to post #1 of this thread. Even with core affinity switched as explained in last post, the problem still persists and playing games like Far Cry 4 is pretty much an impossibility on a hard difficulty. The main problem being that when trying to deploy the wingsuit or trying to takedown an enemy is that when the system seems to "Lerp" you miss the keys you hit, making you plumit to your death pretty much every time you try to use the wingsuit in a "tight" location. Makes for some funny deaths and pure rage, but I really don't want to be punching my screen :/. I'm also playing on the lowest graphics too just in case it helps to stop the lerp, but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference.

Websites that use Flash are affected along with my Steam Games list (as seen in previous post).

Would love to help by voice chatting etc to see if there can be a kink found but it's 100% deepbot. I've, sadly, streamed multiple times without the use of the bot, especially at the end of Far Cry where I didn't want to get jumpy and accidently nail the wrong people :P

Cheers <3 #moist

Cheers all.

I'm having this exact issue with the new Nvidia GFX drivers, it's horrible and unbareable to stream with deepbot running. It only happens when I stick deebot on my "60hz" monitor to view my chat etc while I game on "144hz" if i move the deepbot window onto my "144hz" monitor my frames are back to normal and my monitor acts as 144hz again. Never had this issue before at all, any work arround or fix for this as i've tried everything mentioned?

*edit*

I've put it on my last core number 11 as I have in total 12 cores and now the issue is resolved, anyway I can force deepbot to run on my last core all the time?

Very weird issue. Unfortunately all my monitors are 60Hz so I cant test this.

I did some search's online, and found this thread. Please try setting the scaling option in the Nvidia display settings to GPU and see if it helps.
