Deepbot using 30%-40% of my CPU while offline
« on: April 13, 2016, 04:27:51 AM »
Deepbot isn't even performing any functions... It's idle in an empty chat without any accounts connected.

I am running this on my VPS which is only using a virtual AMD Opteron 4386 @ 3.10GHz but it still seems awful high to me?

I am on Windows Server 2012 R2 if that helps as well.

Try making deepbot run on the last core of your cpu only. This method works for most and reduces cost.

Setting affinity to one CPU core has a barely noticeable difference if that. Why does the CPU usage fluctuate so much? It can go from 11%-45% CPU usage while completely idle?

It can depend on a few things. If chat moderation is enabled, that can cause higher cpu usage. Music tab can also cause it. Basically the bot keeps 2-4 browsers open in the background. One for music, one on the about tab for forums, one for both streamer/chat tab. You can disable a few of them, by right click the cogwheel on the streamer chat tab at the bottom right > Disable. Same with music tab.

Tried your suggestions and it barely made a difference. So I guess this fluctuation is normal? Just seems weird that the cpu usage is bouncing around so much without using it whatsoever.

I am not sure. There may be another program making it spike. Different users have found other programs that make deepbot spike. My deepbot only user 5% max. :/
