!add and @editpoints@ not working for "all"
« on: May 04, 2018, 02:55:04 PM »
On May 2 I was working in DB making new commands, nothing out of the ordinary when I learned that my !add command and @editpoints@ command was no longer working when I tried to give points to all users. It was working just minutes earlier until it suddenly stopped.

To be clear I am entering "!add 100 all" and "@editpoints@[all|100]" inside a command (both without the quotes) and neither of these commands work. I have these commands embedded in dozens of my main commands so almost everything I have is broken without these core commands working.

Important to note: I do receive the message that points have been given to all users but when I look at the user details, no points were added.

I've tried the following and nothing has worked:

- Erasing ALL of my commands
- Re-upgrading to latest beta
- Using backup manager from a day prior to the issue
- Restarting DB
- Restarting my computer
- Tried embedding the commands in new commands I created and played around with the various "Run As" levels

I checked the error log and debug log and there is nothing there.

Oh also, !add custom doesn't work and neither do the Point Giveaway buttons at the top of the chat tab.

After doing some troubleshooting with the help of Presidante I have narrowed the issue down to my "users.bin" file. I removed everything from my data folder and the commands were back working though I didn't have any of my old settings, commands or user points information. I slowly added back each of my old data file, quitting and relaunching Deepbot in between to test. The issue only came back when I added back my old users.bin file.

Received an old users.bin file from ExpertsOnline but the issue persisted. Perhaps that users.bin file backup didn't go back far enough?
