Point earnings for mods

From the FAQ:  VIP Point Multiplier for Mods

Question Let's say a mod has VIP Gold/Silver/Bronze, does the point multiplier stack or even go with the higher point multiplier?

Answer: No, it goes with the higher rank, Mod is a higher rank then VIP Gold. Therefore the Mod will only take whatever you point in the Point Multiplier for them.

My question:  So this means if I set a mod to VIP Gold which earns points at a rate of 2.0, and the mod rate is 1.2, he will only earn 1.2 because mod is a higher rank?  This is flawed and will prevent any of my mods from donating to the stream to earn VIP status and a higher earn rate.  Is there any way to override this?  Thanks for your help!

Want to make sure my question is understood.  My mods earn a points rate of 1.2 and I have six mods.  One of the mods made a $$ donation which would earn him VIP Level 3 status which has an earn rate of 2.0.  My understanding of the rule is that the mod rate trumps the VIP rate.  Is this correct?

This creates a big problem as I cannot give all mods the VIP level 3 rate of 2.0 as they did not all donate to earn that, and I cannot reward the mod who did donate without removing his mod status which is not acceptable.  Is there a workaround or solution for this?  Thanks for any help!

Any input here?  Should I post this in feature requests instead?  Thanks for help, I don't want my mods who donate to get shorted on points.

Sorry it took so long to respond, I had to find the answer. But it takes the higher of the multipliers. So if VIP gold is 2.0 and mods are 1.5, it will give them the 2.0 multiplier.

I appreciate the support, this solves my issue with mods that choose to donate for VIP
