Hi everyone and thanks for your input! Since there are some very proficient streamers that hang here, and people who are also good at modding deepbot scripts, I thought I'd try my hand at a tricky request which I haven't been able to find an answer to.
I currently use DeepBot and am very happy with it, but I'm looking for a specific function which it doesn't have. Nor do any of the other major bots I've researched.
What I need:
I'm looking for a bot or feature in DeepBot that monitors chat, and looks for a particular keyword that you specify - but only AFTER you decide what that keyword is. The function essentially looks back at a log of what was typed by chat makes a list of users who typed the keyword. You press a button at the start of a quiz, for example, and after that point, DeepBot is monitoring what is being typed. You then press another button, and it stops monitoring. Then you type in the keyword you're looking for. If there are any people who've typed in that keyword in chat, the bot will make a copy-able list that I can cope/paste into an excel file.
Why I think this would be a good idea:
A function that monitors chat and then looks for the keyword AFTER I find out what the answer is allows for the streamer to play along with the chat. You all guess, and when the answer is revealed, I would type in the keyword to search, and the bot would give me a list of who typed that keyword. Imagine chat playing along at a quiz game with you, or trying to pick the right place in geoguesser, etc etc. There's a lot of applications.
The issue:
Most scripts work the other way. You specify the keyword first and then Deebot will look to see who's typed it. I've seen some quiz bots that you program the bot with questions ahead of time. That's not exactly what I'm looking for.
Does anyone know of any app that does anything close to this? If not, what would it take to develop some apis?
