HUGE memory leak/cost
« on: June 01, 2015, 04:33:30 AM »
So I leave deepbot running 24/7 and I see the longer I run it the more and more memory it keeps consuming, its up to 650k memory. I personally not worried since I have more ram than i know what to do with, but I believe its an overall problem that should be fix. The longer it runs the more memory it takes, I believe its because its keeping logs of EVERYTHING. I suggest maybe start dumping the log every 24 hours or something to help with the memory. If thats not it i don't know sorry if this was posted in the wrong forum, only spot I thought it would be put in.

It is the music player, that is on adobe's end. It is a video memory leak.

Is there any way to disable the player or something we should be doing with Adobe programs to fix this? Mine is constantly climbing as well to over 1mil, so I need to constantly close and restart the bot to reset the memory. Not sure if it makes any difference to posting the errors I get when I open the bot but they are:

IF you go to the music tab, you can right click the player and hit disable player.

I'm gonna bump this thread, because this is something that my bot is effected by, and it leads to crashes on my system. Usually on a 4-6 hour stream, the bot shuts down (no errors) about 2-3 times. I am considering going back to nightbot for music, but I really want everything to run by deep bot if possible.

Anyone knows of a way to fix this without doing the disable bot fix? (which wont work for me, I cant play the music when I disable the player)

What you can do it load the playlist, then right click the video, Launch external browser (Or this url: http://deepbot.deep.sg/YouTubePlayerv3.html ) Then start playing the music till the webpage loads the song, then disable the player in deepbot. This may work.

But the flash player itself has a memory leak, which is on adobe's end, so we can't fix it.
