Deepbot crashes instantly when typing a command
« on: August 04, 2015, 08:36:59 PM »
Like the title says, deepbot crashes instantly the moment I start typing a command.
This is odd because earlier today I could  easily add commands. It crashes every time, even if I try to modify older commands.

I don't get an errorlog, it just crashes. I can select the message field, but the moment I type, it instantly crashes 100% of the time.

There is a way around it that works for me, and that is adding and editting the message in the chat and using deepbot to polish the settings, but this is rather obnoxious.

This started happening when I selected a command to play a sound file. After this, I could no longer use the message field, regardless if there was a sound file attached to the command or not.

I do run deepbot in admin mode.
I have windows 7

I am also experiencing this crash as well as not receiving an error log when it occurs.

I experienced this first when trying to type a work in the box to highlight chat. I can click in the box but the moment I begin tying it crashes the program.
This also happened when trying to add new channel commands, or any text box for that matter.

The only recent error log I have is the following:

05 Aug 18:37:16,398 - 0.7.3.1: Error - Unable to move users.tmp to users.bin. The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.
   at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)
   at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError()
   at System.IO.File.InternalMove(String sourceFileName, String destFileName, Boolean checkHost)
   at DeepBot.Main.#mO()

I don't believe that was even related to the text box typing error.

Running deepbot as admin?
Disabled anti-virus? Or set deepbot as not a virus in your anti-virus if using one?
What windows are you on?

No errorlog? And that is all that is in your crashlog?

Windows 7
Antivirus AVG, newest version of course.
No crash log

I turned off AVG and it suddenly worked. Thanks for the advice. Woudln't have thought this was the case.

Added it to the exception list of AVG and it works now!
