Chat Bug

I am not sure if this has been reported or not. I looked through and I did not see anyting like it so here is the issue.

Under Channel Commands --> Event Messages I have first time viewers and welcome back messages set to enable.

People will be in my channel and actively chatting and it welcomes them several times. The frequency is random and users tell me they are not leaving the chat and coming back.

Is this happening to anyone else? Is there a fix?

This is due to twitch api, they changed it to where it refreshed the user list every couple of seconds causing spam. So the dev had to set it to about 10 mins I think per refresh which causes the event messages to go off every now and again. No real way around it. :/
