@readfile@ won't grab @target@

So I'm trying to utilize the @readfile@ variable to grab a line from a text file. That part is working great. The problem is that I have @target@ in these lines, and it won't grab @target@ from the line in the text document. Example:

"!sorry wrektglitch" should be grabbing one of a number of lines such as "Shut up @target@, you'll never be the man your mother is." but when the text goes into chat, it just says "Shut up , you'll never be the man your mother is." instead of "Shut up wrektglitch, you'll never be the man your mother is."

Any help, please?

Can you screenshot the command? Or copy and paste the message part of the command?

Because it is reading the .txt file, it will not insert a target when it doesn't save the @target@ to the .txt file.

One way would be to have all insults start with @target@ at the beginning.

In your command, the message part, you could have @target@ @readfile@[etc, etc].

@target@ is meant for in the command message itself.
