CefSharp error on startup
« on: July 14, 2014, 08:15:11 AM »
Hey guys,

Hoping you can help me solve a major problem I'm having with DeepBot, as I haven't been able to get it to work since I got it a few days ago.

Loading the bot throws this error:

Code: [Select]
13 Jul 20:08:52,798 - 0.4.4.1: Crashed Could not load file or assembly 'CefSharp.dll' or one of its dependencies.  is not a valid Win32 application. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800700C1)
13 Jul 20:08:52,803 - 0.4.4.1: Crashed    at DeepBot.Music.panelMusic..ctor()
   at DeepBot.Main.InitializeComponent()
   at DeepBot.Main..ctor()
   at DeepBot.Program.Main()

Running it as administrator doesn't help.

Typically this error is caused by lacking the VC++ 2012 Redistributable (which gets installed by the DeepBot installer if you're missing it), but I have it and the error still persists. I've tried manually installing the version of the redist suggested by ExpertsOnline, the latest version of it instead/as well as, and many other options. Nothing seems to work.

Any ideas? I'm at a massive loss here and it's very frustrating not being able to use the bot.

Running Windows 8.2 x64.

After doing a bit of research it turns out it can be many other reasons as to why it's causing that error to happen. Although I would probably recommend reinstalling Deepbot if you still have the installer (If not I'm sure we could send the installer to you).

You could try copying the file I attached below to the folder where you installed Deepbot. It could be that CefSharp was only partially downloaded. Of course if that is the problem other files in your Deepbot install could also be in the same state.

Thanks,
