A few things
« on: July 29, 2014, 10:40:02 PM »
I installed Deepbot for the first time last night. Overall I like what I am seeing.

A few issues that I saw

1. Cannot move the bot around on when opened. Minor thing but when you are running multiple windows everywhere, its nice to be able to place it.

2. Chat tab not working. The chat isnt loading on the chat tab. Its just black, even when typing directly into the bot chat.

3. Oath link not working on server 2008R2 - I run a free Windows server 2008R2 on Amazon Web Services for my bots. When I installed Deepbot on it, I tried clicking the Oath pw retrieval links. A windows appears, but when I click Authorize to twitch, it does nothing. Anyway around this? Can there be a setting to manually put in my Oath password.

4. Migrating user points. I have been using Ultimate Twitch Bot. Is there a way to migrate my users tokens from UTB to DB?

5. Music tab - a question than an issue. Is there a way to NOT have to require tokens to request a song? I am working on trying to replace Nightbot for this purpose but I dont want my followers to have to pay to play music (yet)

If these tweaks can get worked out, I could possibly us DB for everything I do on Twitch. Great job on getting is this far.

I installed Deepbot for the first time last night. Overall I like what I am seeing.

A few issues that I saw

1. Cannot move the bot around on when opened. Minor thing but when you are running multiple windows everywhere, its nice to be able to place it.
Please drag the title text to move the Bot

2. Chat tab not working. The chat isnt loading on the chat tab. Its just black, even when typing directly into the bot chat.
Please click on the Tool icon in the top right of chat to customize the background and text colors

Please ensure the following:
1) Add twitch.tv and deepbot.deep.sg to the trusted locations in internet settings page
2) Uncheck require https for sites in this zone
3) Open a browser and Navigate to this link
4) Login with your bot account and if a warning pops up, check the box to not show that warning again
5) Now try doing the auth process within DeepBot.

4. Migrating user points. I have been using Ultimate Twitch Bot. Is there a way to migrate my users tokens from UTB to DB?
For conversions, please email me your accounts file to deepbot@deep.sg for conversion.

5. Music tab - a question than an issue. Is there a way to NOT have to require tokens to request a song? I am working on trying to replace Nightbot for this purpose but I dont want my followers to have to pay to play music (yet)
In the bottom right corner of the Music tab you can customize the point cost. You can set that to 0 if you do not want to charge points for requesting songs.

Overall I would say play around with the bot as there is a LOT of functionality and customisation options built into it to cater to the needs of various streams. Hope you enjoy DeepBot and I look forward to your feedback after you have used it for a few more days

If these tweaks can get worked out, I could possibly us DB for everything I do on Twitch. Great job on getting is this far.

Thanks for the reply.

One other item, does DeepBot produce a txt file that I can point OBS to overlay the Now Playing and Song titles? Similar to what Nightbot does?

Yes - Please see the OBS folder in the installation directory for all the txt files created.
