You shouldn't need any additional CSS to make this happen as the auto actions are separate from the on-screen notifications although of course it wouldn't hurt to have a notification on your stream. Basically just make sure your settings look similar to the following screenshot. You can find this screen at the bottom right corner of the "config" tab where it says "Notifications options".
Of course it doesn't have to look exactly like that so edit to your hearts content. The important things to take heed of though is that "Auto Donation Actions" and "VIP" is ticked.
