I am not sure if this is even possible, so I figured that I would ask.

Is there currently a way to create a command that returns a value from a text file?  As an example, I would create a !song command that would return the contents of a text file that contains the Artist and Song information (just one example).

No, not currently.

!song is already a command.  It can pull from the built in YouTube player, and from Last.FM.

Well you can use Last.FM scrobble feature where you can connect different music players to last.fm to show currently playing with !song command, but not sure if it works for .txt files for deepbot. You may have to use another program to grab music from your music player to be written to a .txt file.

Last.FM does work with text files.  You have to use the current song formated file in the OBS folder of your DeepBot directory.
