OBS Remote Problem
« on: August 10, 2015, 02:23:28 AM »
Hello!

In order for OBS remote to be utilized, I must first have OBS open and then go into the master settings in deepbot and click 'Save'. If I do not do this, OBS remote does not work. I test this through the OBS Remote Action 'Enable Source' command in the Channel Commands section. Any time that I close OBS I have to go back into the master menu in Deep Bot and click Save again to refresh the settings (I guess?). If I don't do that, OBS remote does not work with any commands.

Thank you,
- Kame

Are you starting OBS first or DeepBot first?

Deepbot is left up and running 99% of the time on my computer, so it's almost always running first. I launch OBS just before I start a stream.

Well you just need to open up obs, then go to master settings and hit save again. You have to do it everytime when starting obs. However if your commands aren't working, I can give you an example of mine.

My commands work, I just have to click save every time I want to use commands with OBS remote which is a burden but not a HUGE problem. Is it designed to work this way? It seems like once you save your information ONCE it should be good to go regardless of closing and reopening OBS. Is this an OBS Remote limitation?

Well it should only happen once when you open up obs each time. I would make sure you are running both programs as admin. It is just OBS remote and deepbot need to connect. Maybe a possiblity to check and maybe connect on startup when you open up deepbot? I will ask and see if it can be done.

Sounds good, thank you. Like I said... it isn't a huge hassle to click Save again from the menu every time I re-open OBS or Deepbot... but if it were automated it would save me from making a silly mistake live on the stream. I use the built in OBS Remote access to chain through a series of scenes to give visuals for betting. It's an amazing set of features... I can just be a little forgetful at times so automation is key. ;)
