Disabling Standard Commands
« on: May 18, 2014, 08:17:31 PM »
Hey guys,

I've been using this bot for my Twitch channel, and I absolutely love it. However, I was wondering if it would be possible to disable all default commands available to the bot (or restrict them to moderator only).

Thank you for your help,

MGUSMC

Which commands are you referring to?

The commands listed in the Wiki as "All Users."

There is no master toggle to turn off all commands. I am not sure why you would want to do that.
Can you please expand further on the rationale of your request?

I wish to use Deep Bot, without the interference of having any user that comes on the stream able to spam chat with unnecessary !points or !cmdlist to see all the commands. I only want my channel's moderators to be able to use the commands, and I do not want to use the points feature.

I understand if this is not in the philosophy of the bot, though.

Interesting...what are the features you wish to utilize of DeepBot?
If there is a valid reason and sufficient demand for building a master toggle, I could look into it. I just was not able to visualize the bot being used with none of these features.

I really appreciate how you can edit commands and view chat straight from the desktop. The timed messages work well, too. Also, I enjoy the extensive database of users.

I would like it if one would be able to decide which level of clearance (viewer, mod, vip bronze, silver, gold) would have access to what command and such.

For example the !give command we would like to only be available for our VIP Gold users. but now it is for any of the VIP levels.

so yea that would be a MAJOR improvement if one would have the power to set, which level can use what command :)

so we approve of that!

I agree. For example, I have a moderator on my channel that runs the Deep Bot program for me so that I do not have to, so that he can run the raffles, bettings, etc. without me having to do anything. Some commands obviously don't support this type of use of the Bot, such as !song, which will show whatever song he's listening to on Spotify. Is there any way around this?

Thanks,
