Remote Notification Function (over internet not local)
« on: March 05, 2018, 09:14:07 AM »
Is this function still supported?  I have several other people who operate on my channel and we were trying for the last 2 hours to get remote notifications setup for them and we could never get them to appear.  Testing it locally i could get it to show up remotely using my local IP address.  But when i have my caster check to see if the url with my external ip address is pulling the notification, nothing.

any help we can get with this would be greatly appreciated.

sorry for the delay, yes we set everything up this way but it will not go beyond my local network.  if i do the URL with the devices ip in my local network it shows up.  When i have my caster set it up with my external ip address nothing seems to trigger.

Did you port forward port 3337?

yes, i did port forwarding, and even at once point shut everything down that could potentially be blocking it but it never went through.

it would work locally, but not externally.

Yeah, so something has to be blocking it. Try adding port 3337 to Windows Firewall.

Really appreciate the help TheNumbLock

i gave up trying to get it to go through and just took over the stream and set up full deepbot control for my guys and setup an RTMP server.

little bit more of a pain in the rear trying to get stream start and stream stop commands to pass through obs websocket but eventually got it going and then setup some scenes for them.  Now they can just stream to the RTMP server and i have OBS setup with scenes for each RTMP stream with chat commands to switch scenes to BRB screen, Stream Starting screen, Stream Ending screen, and then each of their specific streams that pull from the RTMP.  Still working out some kinks with a little bit of freezing but i think its setup a little more stable this way for audible chat command and such as well.

it allows me to standardize each persons stream too.
